Weekend Wrap-up!

This weekend was a whirlwind of activity! It started out with an ARD at school followed by my darling walk-ups. We read Do You Want to Be My Friend? by Eric Carle and made these elephants inspired by Carrie's frogs, which are much cuter. I probably should have found a template. We just used paper plates, I freehanded the ears, and of course, googly eyes are a must! One student called his a giraffe, and the other thought his looked more like a mouse. He's a HUGE Mickey Mouse fan, so we get along tremendously! Here they are:

After school, it was off on a 6-hour drive to my cousin's wedding. Remember the 1,300 cookies? Here's what the groom's table looked like:
The cookies are in jars - and those jars needed a lot of refills! Many people were getting "the sampler" - trying one of every cookie so that they could declare a favorite! (The white stuff is West Texas cotton balls interspersed with the bright colors from the wedding.)

But the majority of cookies were underneath the table. J was happy to have 2 big bags of snickerdoodles to take home. Here he is with Amy and Lisa:
In other news, there is a lot going on this upcoming week! Not only is it BHSM, it's also time for the big Teacher Appreciation Sale at TpT, teacher appreciation at school, Nurse Week, and Mother's Day!

All Y'all Need will be participating in the big sale with everything 20% off. Plus, use the code TAD13 at checkout for a total of 28% off on May 7-8! All Y'all Need will be extending our sale on May 9 with everything still 20% off!
Remember your school nurses with subway art:
We have primary, bright, and black and white for $1 each. I printed the primary and put it in an IKEA frame.

This week, I'll be focusing on Mother's Day in speech therapy. Need ideas? Check out the pinboard Hooray for Moms and Dads run by All Y'all Need! I'll be using the book What Mommies Do Best by Laura Numeroff. I think an Ask Away game and a flower card will be perfect for this week!
What are you doing for all the celebrations?
