Five for Friday: Fairy Tale Favorites

Hey everyone!
This is Lisa and I am so excited to be linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for Five for Friday! Last week, my class focus on Fairy Tales and I have to say that it was my favorite week so far! Here's a look at a few activities we did:

Rapunzel's Hair Measurement

I came across this idea on Julie Lee's blog and loved it! I just adjusted it a tad bit to fit the needs of my Pre K kiddos.

If I had a Fairy Godmother Writing

I found this idea on Life in 1st Grade's blog and loved it! Such a fun idea!

King and Queen Letter Crafts

During Fairy Tales week, we focused on the letters K and Q.

Crown Jewels Counting

My kiddos had a blast counting the number of jewels on each crown and then writing the number on our class set of iPads.

The Princess and the Pea

One of my favorite math activities was "The Princess and the Pea Mattress Counting" activity. The kiddos created a bed using scrapbook paper and practiced number writing. I found this idea on Pinterest.

To finish our week of Fairy Tales, we held a Fairy Tale Ball on Friday. The kiddos came dressed as a King, Queen or their favorite Fairy Tale Character. It was so much fun!!! There was a royal arrival, feast and a royal dance party. :)

Head on over to Doodle Bugs Teaching to join the linky fun!
