Kacey at Doodlebugs Teaching hosts a weekly linky.
We love to join in.
Did you know I supervise two wonderful licensed assistants?
One used Write and Say the Room: Space this week.
Just print, laminate, and cut out cards.
Hang the cards around the room.
Be sure to use unexpected spots, like under the tabletop or on the ceiling.
Let students find words with their sounds.
Bonuses?
You get to target artic and language with curriculum words!
And the students have homework ready to go!
The other licensed assistant went for transportation with If I Built a Car and The Great Grammar Race by Sublime Speech.
I got to test.
Speaking of testing, the STAAR is coming up next week. That's the Texas standardized test.
I get to help. I say get on purpose. I truly like to help out.
I haven't always helped administer the STAAR. But it is "all hands on deck". One of my schools has 700 students. That's a lot of small groups and one-on-one.
Sure, I could plead out. But helping with STAAR helps out the whole school. And that pays off in spades the rest of the year.
Because next week is the BIG STAAR week, schedules will be crazy!
Our easy prep Earth Day activities will help maintain my sanity.
Earth Day ABC Order is a freebie! Just print and copy.
What a Wonderful World Ask Away is played like Guess Who? Simply print out one copy of Earth Day per student, insert into a plastic sheet protector, and use over and over with dry-erase markers!
And Earth Day Informative Reader's Theater is perfect for using with curriculum! Print out the two script pages and character and glue onto folders.
How about ending with something fun?
My wonderful sister Amy gave me a Kendra Scott gift certificate.
I bought these earrings:
They will go great with the necklace my lovely cousin Lisa gave me for Christmas!
