Summer of 60 Pins, #46 and 47: Tilapia and Pasta

Tonight's dinner was:

Sweet and Spicy Citrus Tilapia from Cooking Light with a rating of 4 out of 5 stars.

Here is my fish:

Why does the original pin always look better? Anyway, I baked my fish instead of broiling because I don't like the broiler, and I mixed the paprika in with the marinade instead of sprinkling on top. I'm sure that's the difference.

We also feasted on Crunchy Parmesan Spaghetti from $5 Dinners. My dish - and yes, we like noodles and I always put in too many so we'll have PLENTY of leftovers:

The Good: Both recipes are easy and would be good for weeknights.

The Bad: My kids aren't crazy about tilapia, although I liked it and Jim had seconds (with extra seasoning). Jim also thought the "Crunchy" in the spaghetti title was a little misleading because the dish was not as crunchy as he expected, but he liked it.

Summary: The noodles were a BIG hit, and this would be a good side dish. Since only two of us ate the fish, I probably won't try the recipe again. But if your kids aren't as picky, it would be a good option.
