What Do You Use for IEPs?

My district is looking for opinions on data management systems. Whew... that's a long and boring description! We have used SEAS, SEM and now SuccessEd. I would love to hear what you are using. Do you like it? Is it user friendly? Reader friendly? Hate it and wouldn't recommend it?

Give me all the good and bad! I need to know what's out there and if it's worth investigating or not!

  1. For IEPs, Medicaid, and Progress Reports we use Illuminate. It's good, but it was quite a difficult process to learn. We're still ironing out the details and it was implemented in October. Overall I'm pleased with it. I like that there's just one system to handle all of the IEPs, REEDs, Medicaid, and Progress Reports in one.

    1. Thanks for the suggestion. I think all the systems have a steep learning curve.

    2. We started the year with SuccessEd, but it was a total bomb. We've moved to eSped, which I really like. Our previous program was SpecialEd Manager which had lots of glitches. No problems with eSped. Been using it for 2 months now and I'm finding it pretty easy to navigate. Good luck!

    3. That sounds similar to our journey. ESped is mentioned a lot, so it's good to hear you like it!

  2. We use CECAS which I think is a North Carolina thing. It can be slow, but it's not the worst thing in the world. I've heard that lots of places use Easy IEP.

    1. I'm in Texas, but Easy IEP looks interesting. Thanks for the info!
