Friday Faves from All Y'all Need: April 5

From AMY
#1: It’s book fair time!    This little sweetie stopped by the library to shop.   She told quite a few jokes from a book fair book.   I love it when kids have a chance to visit the book fair.   Everyone comes to the book fair even if they don’t purchase anything.   I love that about my school.   We have window-shopping time for everyone.   I love seeing the excitement about books way more than I worry about making money.   I know it is a fund-raiser, but seeing kids go wild for books is truly priceless.

#2: “God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” Matthew 5:4 The New Living Translation

God states His promise of comfort for His children.   My school is struggling with the shock of deep loss right now.   This verse has been a constant source of strength.

From LAURA
#1: I'm not a good make-up artist, but I am really liking Clinique's Chubby Sticks for Eyes. It's easier to put on than just eye shadow, and it shows up more.

#2: Our church also got some news this week. Our preacher has been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. In true fashion, he has asked for prayers for his family instead of himself. He shared this prayer from Habakkuk 3:17-18:
Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will by joyful in God my Savior!

Friday Fave #1: Donna Glynn’s “Color My Peep!”

My kids have absolutely loved Donna Glynn’s “Color My Peep!” graphing activity. This activity includes graphing, forming data, and application. The students use their own data to form addition sentences. WOWZA! It is a fantastic spring purchase. I highly recommend “Color My Peep!”.

Friday Fave #2: The Voice
I have been a huge fan of The Voice since it started. I love how these superstars are trying to help others break into the music business. Plus, they are absolutely hilarious! The new judges haven’t disappointed! I absolutely love that Usher and Shakira on the show and I think they are doing a fantastic job. Blind tryouts are my favorite because I love watching the judges react and fight over the singers. I honestly don’t know how these performers keep singing when chairs begin to turn around. I think my jaw would drop the minute a chair turned around.
Especially if Adam did ;)
How's your week gone?
